Transforming Communities:
- Alt Valley Vision
Alt Valley Vision is a new community media initiative enabling residents, businesses and organisations within North East Liverpool to create websites including video, audio and other multimedia content. - Community Grid - Bridging the Digital Divide
The AIMES Centre has been leading on a project in St Helens to provide free internet access in the homes of the pupils at St Cuthbert’s Community College. - EverybodyOnline Liverpool 8
Liverpool 8 is a culturally diverse community, where there are low levels of Information Communications Technology (ICT) skills and Internet connectivity. An improvement in ICT skills and access will hopefully help the local community overcome the Digital Divide which exists in this area and provide them with the means take full advantage of the opportunities available. - Wirral Community TV Project
Community partners across Wirral have joined forces to create a community TV channel. Training in video production and other necessary skills will be provided, and films made will be showcased on a website set-up with help from cable firm NTL.
Transforming Businesses:
- i-techpartner
This pan-European technology transfer project is being led in the UK by the AIMES centre at the University of Liverpool. - Digital Academy - ICDC
Focusing on the regeneration of Merseyside and the North West, ICDC helps businesses and other organisations to understand how digital technology can benefit them. - AIMES
The AIMES Centre (Advanced Internet Methods and Emergent Systems), part of the University of Liverpool, is a pioneer in the transfer of e-science to e-business.

The investment fund has been set up to help companies in Merseyside invest in their ICT infrastructure and is run by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. - The MerseyBroadband Programme
