<description>Firstly I would like to congratulate Lateral Visions and St Margaret’s on a great game for such a worthy cause.

I was recently at a conference looking at how ‘serious games’ are being used in education and another Lateral Visions project was given as a case study.

Racing Academy is a racing game built on an advanced physics simulation engine that is being used to teach physics and mechanical engineering. The JISC funded project, in partnership with Futurelab, has had excellent feedback and is now being rolled out to a number of schools, colleges and universities.

Anybody interested in the future of teaching and ICT should view the Futurelab case study at:
http://www.futurelab.org.uk/showcase/racing_academy/index.htm#projectarticle

A downloadable prototype is also available from Lateral Visions website:
